Descripción del producto

Just like the wines that benefit from the unique conditions at Quinta de Ventozelo, this terroir is ideal to produce a smooth and exceptional olive oil that is rich and elegant like all the fruit from the Douro Valley. In our centenarian olive groves, planted right beside our vines, the olives are harvested by agitating the branches with poles, the “Varejar” technique as tradition dictates. The olive oil they produce is the rare and desired essence of the history, tradition and flavors of the Douro Region. Made with indigenous olive varieties, predominantly Verdeal, this is one of the most exclusive olive oils in Portugal with an annual crop production under 3,000 liters, cold pressed to preserve its essence, aromas and very low acidity. Tasting notes Fruity, mature, with a very balanced spiciness and bitterness and an excellent finish. The elegance and complexity of this olive oil offers a unique experience. How best to enjoy: As an aperitif with toasted artisan breads, or as an accompaniment with salads, grilled fish and even meat dishes, adding a creamy consistency and unmistakable aromatic tang.
