Sedum (Sedum Acre) This Sedum Acre is commonly known as Stonecrop.
Yellow Stonecrop groundcover plants form a brilliant, intense golden-yellow carpet. This carpet will rapidly spread and fill in, giving you groundcover over a large area in a very short time. It is perfect for xeriscaping, and is native to Europe but also naturalized in North America.
Yellow Sedum is so well-known and used that it has many common names.
Among these are: Goldmoss Stonecrop, Goldmoss Sedum, or Golden Carpet Stonecrop.
Goldmoss Sedum grows well in poor soils, sand, xeriscape rock gardens, and rich dirt.
It does well in a variety of light conditions, but prefers mostly sunny conditions. It is such a versatile plant, well-suited for use as a trailing accent in hanging baskets and containers, as a border plant or edging in the flower garden, or when used as a general groundcover plant.
